I was honored to receive the 2026 George Cotter Award for Vision and Leadership in the Field of Data Analytics, for pioneering tensor decomposition methods, creating foundational algorithms, software, and publications that transformed data analytics across neuroscience, cybersecurity, signal processing, chemometrics, machine learning, graph analytics, and network science.
The award is named for George Cotter (1927–2025), longtime Chief Scientist at the NSA and its inaugural (2016) recipient. The 2026 award is announced at the Conference on Large-scale Analytics, Science, Systems, & Intelligent Computing (CLASSIC), held October 19-22, 2026, in Annapolis, Maryland.
