The Research Collaboration Workshop on Randomized Numerical Linear Algebra (RNLA) is soliciting applications to attend (this potentially includes travel and housing assistance, if needed). The workshop will be held August 11-15, 2025, at the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM), located at UCLA in Los Angeles, CA. This workshop emphasizes “work” because we will be actually tackling problems together. We will begin research projects during the workshop, make significant progress, and continue collaborating over the following year to produce results that can be published. Each working group is led by senior project leaders. This format has been highly successful in similar workshops, promoting fruitful collaborations that often lead to impactful research outcomes. The application is now open and the deadline for submission is March 31, 2025. We encourage applications from graduate students, recent PhDs, and other researchers who wish to participate in this collaborative format.
I’ll be a project lead for this workshop, joint with Riley Murray.
